After a few years he becomes friends with many of the other inmates, especially.Red. Before long he befriends the guards by actually doing their taxes for them. Andy then became a personal assistant to the warden. After a while he planned his escape. Over the next couple of months he used his rock hammer to pick away the walls of his cell. Andy then escaped by going into the sewer. This causes the warden to commit suicide.
I enjoyed this movie a lot. I think the director did a great job off creating suspense. There were really no dull parts in the movie. I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone who likes suspenseful movies.
